Mission Statement
The Mission Statement for the Department of Public Works is to provide the highest quality of professional government services for the City of Oroville.

Overview
The Department of Public Works includes engineering, project management for both design and construction activities, airport management, recycling, and public works operations and maintenance.  The front counter at City Hall is consolidated and managed under the guidance of a Counter Technician. The Department provides engineering design services, as well as management of both design and construction contracts for the City and the Redevelopment Agency.   

• Provides management and leadership to the department;
• Provides engineering design, consultant and construction contract management for the City and the Redevelopment Agency;
• Provides administrative support to all other divisions, such as phone messaging, bill paying, ordering of supplies, word processing, mailing, and filing;
• Provides coverage of the front counter, including general public support, and the processing of engineering applications and permits;
