Director of Parks and Trees

The responsibility of Parks & Trees Director is to manage a wide range of human services to help enrich the lives of those who reside in our community.  The director has many responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to the following: administers, manages and implements programs to maintain and beautify the City's parklands and recreational facilities; administers, manages and implements leisure service programs to accommodate a variety of interests, ages, cultures and abilities; coordinates community special events and civic and cultural programs; planting new park and street trees, watering of new street trees, pruning and maintenance of park trees, pruning and maintenance of the new trees and an estimated 10,000 existing street trees, maintains and cares for the Memorial Deador Cedars,  removes diseased or dangerous trees, trims at least 160 trees along the Feather River Bike Path, and maintains of at least 118 Palm Trees.
