About the program:
“101 Positive Bloggers for Oroville California” is intended to provide a positive image for Oroville.
Essentially, the program provides an opportunity for those who live, or work in the area, to let others know what a special place Oroville is and what’s available for locals and visitors. The blog will allow positive comments about events, places to visit, great sunrises and sunsets, sports activities, theater productions, school events, etc.
Those who choose to become a blogger are asked to follow a “Code of Ethics” to be able to participate in the program. The program will begin when we have reached the corps blogger component. The Blog Administrator will provide updates to those who have signed up.
Why blog?
The word “blog’ is one of the most popular words on the internet today. This buzz word is one of the most popularly searched terms on the internet because increasing numbers of people are trying to figure out what blogging is all about. A blog is a web log, or an online public diary or journal that is written for others to read. Blogs have long lasting shelf lives, as they exist on the internet until you decide to remove them. Blogs are easy to syndicate, meaning that you can get your information and opinions out there, and can allow them to spread like wildfire. (From: The blog traffic exchange)
How will the City of Oroville find the bloggers?

How does it work?
Those participating in the program will be provided parameters to stay within; including the following elements for successfully writing on the blog:
· The writer should be writing a blog that has personality, and that personality should be the writers.· The writer should be writing a blog that showcases opinions, and those opinions should be the writers.· The writer should be writing a blog that solicits participation, and that gives back in kind,· The writer should be writing a blog that provides value.· The writer should be writing a blog that demonstrates the belief that Oroville offers positive, adventurous, and interesting things to do, see, or participate in.
Participants in the 101 Positive Bloggers for Oroville CA will be provided “leads” about events, stories, and general interest items about museums, parks, history of the area, etc.

Participants in the “101 Positive Bloggers for Oroville CA” agree to the following terms and conditions:
“BY AGREEING TO PARTICIPATE IN “101 POSITIVE BLOGGERS,” I AGREE THAT COMMENTS AND POSTINGS TO THE BLOG WILL BE POSITIVE AND INFORMATIONAL IN CONTENT. I ALSO AGREE AND UNDERSTAND THAT THE CITY OF OROVILLE HAS THE RIGHT TO MONITOR POSTINGS, AND MAY WITHOUT NOTICE, CANCEL MY PARTICIPATION TO THE BLOG.”
