Project Description:

The El Medio Project is a two block area in the Southern portion of the City, located on Myers Street and Lower Wyandotte Road. This area has not seen much public investment into it for 50 years. This project, as envisioned, is to revitalize the street corridor with streetscape improvements. Additionally, there is proposed to be a façade feature located in front of the buildings along Myers Street.

Funding Sources:

  • RDA Funds
  • Rule 20a Funds ($661,775 for undergrounding of utilities)

Milestones:

PG&E, the City, and the County are finalizing the Project Map for the under grounding district. Once completed, the project goes on the PG&E project list queen. Within 6-12 months, the City could commence with Phase II of the El Medio Myers Street Redevelopment Project.

Phase II - Documents

  • Prepare engineering documents and get RDA Commission approval
  • Construct arch/monument sign at the entrance of the project.
  • Build-out project
