Overview
      The City of Oroville uses CDBG funds to provide "appropriate" assistance to new and existing business and real estate development projects through the development and expansion process, providing an enhanced level of technical assistance necessary to increase the ability of the businesses to meet their overall business goals, thereby leading to future opportunities for growth, either through increased revenue, employment and/or increasing the commercial and industrial base of the community.


Scope of Services

Provide Technical Assistance
      Providing initial business assessments to determine specific need (bookkeeping, completion of documentation, training, business plan, marketing plan, etc.).

Referral to Local Service Providers
      Including financial Institution, Small Business Administration, Tri County EDC, Private Industry Council, Small Business Development Center, etc).

Assist with Documentation
      Dependant upon type of assistance requested (Reports and general information) either the City of Oroville will assist or assign an outside consultant.

On-going Follow-up
      On a regular basis the City of Oroville will contact the business to offer any additional assistance that may be needed.
